Shaving Pubic Hair
Although not everyone shaves fully, shaving and trimming your pubic hair is becoming more of a norm. It is great for oral sex; it can also make your genitals appear larger and more attractive. If you are new to the thought, we suggest starting out by trimming the first few times, then moving on to shaving part or all of your pubic area. If you have a partner, you may want to consider shaving each other if you find that doing it yourself is monotonous.
A Couple Warnings:
1. Some people are allergic to some shaving creams and can have painful reactions. Using a small test area to see if your body reacts to the products, you can minimize the risk of bad reactions.
2. Letting hair grow out after shaving your pubic area can be very awkward. The sharp hairs combined with the sensitive skin will make you realize just how much movement happens in that area on an average day. Itching and a little chaffing are nearly unavoidable.
Basics
1. If you have long pubic hair, trim with clippers or scissors before using a razor for the close shave.
2. Take a hot bath beforehand, it opens your pores and allows you to get a closer shave.
3. Before applying shaving cream, rinse the area with cool water.
4. Apply shaving cream a few minutes before shaving to soften hairs. Consider using a shaving cream with additional moisturizer or aloe.
5. Be sure to use a new blade, the more times you go over an area the more likely you are to irritate it.
6. When shaving, stroke an area no more than twice to reduce skin irritation. On the first stroke, go "with the grain" to remove most of the hair, then go "against the grain" for a smooth, close shave. If "going against" tends to irritate you, then skip that and use both strokes "with the grain."
7. Be sure to clean the area afterwards with soap and water to reduce the risk of infection, especially if you cut yourself.
8. Some people find a daily application of baby powder or talcum powder especially helpful after shaving to keep the area dry and irritation-free.

Once you get more comfortable shaving, have some fun and experiment with different shapes. A couple fun shapes to get you started are the racing strip, a heart, a star, and an exclamation mark.

I shave (all of it), but my hair grows so fast that I'll shave at night and have stubble when I wake up. I'm considering getting waxed, but where would I go? I'm not sure the salon where I get my hair done and brows waxed even offers Brazilian waxing, and even if it did I'd be too shy to ask the girl who does my brows to do that. Does anyone know how I can find out where to get a discreet full bikini wax and how much it would cost?
How to get rid of red bumps
100% shaved LOL. ANYWAY! If you get red bumps, just clean the area and rub a thin layer of Clearasil onto them before you go to sleep. When you wake up, most or all of them will be gone. Some are more stubborn, and take 2 nights. But don't get Clearasil into any sensitive areas as it can burn/dry out some places. It also bleaches fabrics if you aren't careful. But it is the only thing that I have found to be effective.
i unfortunately cannot shave
i unfortunately cannot shave down there, for everytime i did, with fresh razors, cream, or even tried waxing, in 2 hrs of doing it the skin would turn red and blotchy, it would burn and itch and bleed. So i have hair, but i trim, cuz i really dont like having hair but its better then a rash. What i dont like is how guys are set on every girl has to be shaven, so its makes my self esteen go down the drain... i wish that men werent so rude about it when i medically cant shave, if i could i def. would. i have a bf now, and he has told me he likes shaven, therefore he doesnt go down on me as often as iw ould like, but i guess im just a freak

You're not a freak, don't worry. It's your boyfriend who's selfish. I personally wouldn't like a pussy to be 100% shaven. That would remind me of a little girl who has'nt reach puberty yet. my shaving tips
There is a creme in the aisle you buy the razors and shaving creme in. I use that to help with any itchies I may get from future growth. A guy might want to ask a professional before using it.
I always shave after a long bath, it really does help. I have found the more consistent I am the better. Also with the hairs that hurt use an electric razor on those. And if your bf is sending hints let him help, maybe they won't hurt as much if your in a different position (standing vs stooping). Plus it's him, if it hurts we stop, it'll take him 2 more seconds to get them.

I find shaving when it's
I find shaving when it's really short to be extremely painful. I have to wait for it to grow out for at least a week and a half for it to get long enough to not hurt when I shave. When it's short and stubbley, and I try to shave it, it feels like I'm ripping my skin off. And it always bleeds when I try to shave it when it's short. And if I shave more than once every 2 weeks, I get aweful razor bumps. I know my way around my vagina, but the shaving part drives me crazy! And I can't stand being hairy! HELP!

As for trimming the hair on your balls and pubic area, someone said, "DO NOT use it without the guard on your nutsack."... So should I use a 1/2 or 1/4 inch guard on my balls as well? My girlfriend wants me to trim my balls and penis area. I'm thinking electric clippers. Is this the best way to go?

electric is ok
Electric clippers are ok. But because of the curve on the scrotum, it is very easy to cut yourself when using an electric razor. It aslo becomes more risky of you have a more wrinkly scrotum than smooth. I would recomend just using a regular straight razor and be careful. Cuts on that area are very painful. That being said, electric razors are good to use in the rest of the pubic area.
Electric Clippers rule!!!
One of the best things to do to get a neat trimmed patch is to use some electric hair trimmers or clippers. Use the 1/2" or 1/4" guard attachment and trim the main area (landing strip). Then if you are really brave you can remove the guard and just use the bare blade to shape the patch. DO NOT use it without the guard on your nutsack or labia ... you are pretty much asking for trouble if you do. Usually what we do is use the clippers for the top part (landing strip/pubic patch) and then a safety razor and shaving cream on the balls and lips.

I'm gay, single and love shaving my penis area completely. However I'm worried if I find the right guy he will think I'm weird cause I keep it hair free down there. Hopefully I can other hot men who shave down there as well. Its a definate plus for oral sex to have no hair in the way.
