Typically, trichomoniasis shows up in four to fourteen days after infection. It can, however, have a latent period in either men or women. Three years with no symptoms is highly doubtful. It is transmitted in vaginal fluids and semen. Women can transmit it to women but it does not show up on its own without sexual contact.
