OP: Broaching Analingus with my Girlfriend

I've engaged in analingus once before (both gave and received) with a former partner and absolutely loved it! I am currently in a relationship with a new partner, who I am wildly attracted to and absolutely love our sex life, and I really want to perform analingus but I'm nervous to talk with her about it.

My girlfriend doesn't seem to be particularly adventurous sexually (so far, we've only been dating a little over a year). I've made numerous attempts to make her feel safe to talk about and explore any fantasies (or other sexual preferences/desires) she may have, but to no avail. To make things slightly more complicated she's a dietician, and has strong opinions regarding germs, contaminants, and bacteria (surrounding food, etc). So not only is she (seemingly) not adventurous she's also clinically/medically minded.

I would really like to hear from people whose partner approached THEM about trying analingus for the first time! I'm hoping to get some good advice for navigating that conversation with my girlfriend, so we can have a safe and open dialogue about it.
