OP: If we're both clean, is anal sex safe?

If I am completely sure that neither me nor my partner have any STDs (having been tested and sexually active for a long time), is it safe for me to have anal sex with her without the use of a condom? I ask this only because I have read about bacteria in the anus that may hurt my penis? She's clean, washes well and all that. Am I safe?

well, you can do it. i've done it before.
it's just with a condom it's easier. a lot more lube will be required without it. and plus you can keep the bacteria out.

if she wants, she can douche, which will clean out some of the bacteria...just don't have her douche too often. not only does it wash away the harmful stuff, it will also wash away the good stuff.

A lot more lube is required than would be with a lubricated condom, you mean?

Now, the bacteria...are you saying that I can get sick by having anal sex with her minus a condom? What kind of bacteria are we speaking of?

And what good stuff would it wash away..?

its just no matter how much you wash around your anus there is shit up there.. ya know.
which is full of bacteria like e-coli. we all have ecoli in our digestive tracks. its when its gets into other parts of our body, thats its dangerous.
some people say you should use an enema which personally i wouldn't want too. i mean to give yourself the shits is just gross. lol
also, w/ a condom you don't have to worry about semen leaking down to the vagina.
its a long shot, but pregnancy could still occur.
so your best bet is to just use a condom. keep her and yourself safe. you don't want to end up w/ a urinary tract infection or something like that.

yes more lube would be required.
you should use lube either way, regardless of whether or not you're wearing a condom. the anus does not lubricate itself like the vagina does and needs a little help.

and demon already talked about the bad bacteria so i'll say something about the good.
i have no idea what they're called, but your body does contain good bacteria. you kind of need them. they help fight off things and keep you healthy.

Of course, I know to use a lot of lube.

And don't worry about semen leaking down to the vagina, I'm very careful. It's a possibility but it's not what I'm worrying about at the moment.

So if she douches before anal sex (not too often), is the risk great that I will get a urinary tract infection or something? Is the risk so great that I should worry or am I safe?

This is supposing I don't use a condom, of course.

douching means you would remove some of the bacteria so your risk of getting it would be less.

if you don't use a condom and whether she douches or not, your risk of getting something is still there.
is it possible to do it without a condom and without douching? yes. very much so.
but that doesn't mean you WILL get something. it also doesn't mean you WON'T get something

all we're trying to say that is it best to use a condom just to cut down the risk.
the choice however is really up to you.

doesn't matter how careful you are...it leaks out. just like it leaks out of the vagina.
even more so b/c the tissue of the anal area absorbs less semen than the vagina does.
so yes...expect leakage.
the first and only time my b/f had anal w/ me w/out a condom and he pulled out and all this semen leaked out he was like...whoah! i wasn't expecting that.
so yes no matter how careful or slow you are it happens. just a thought.

I am aware of that, I was just trying to direct us back to the topic I needed answers for

The cleaner she is, the lesser the risk ... but it is still there, so either minimize and accept a small risk of infection, OR use a condom.

One very important health precaution: Don't switch from anal intercourse or anal finger play to any vaginal contact without very thorough washing of the body part that contacted the anal area. This kind of contact can lead to persistent and uncomfortable vaginal infections, since anal bacteria find the vagina a very hospitable environment. Also keep in mind that a male inserting partner should urinate after anal intercourse to flush out his urethra.

To avoid transferring bacteria, use a condom and peel it off before having vaginal contact. If you remove it carefully, without touching the outside of the condom, washing is not necessary. But note that if you use a greasy lubricant such as petroleum jelly you will greatly reduce the protection afforded by condoms, since the mineral oil will deteriorate latex (use a water-based lube instead).

If you want to have anal intercourse (or vaginal intercourse, for that matter) without a condom, you need to be completely sure about the health of your partner's genital tract. If you are certain that you are in a monogamous relationship and both partners have tested negative for STD's, you can opt not to use a condom.

Anal sex is likely to be more acceptable if the receiver has had a bowel movement sometime during the several hours preceding sexual contact. Washing in a bath or using a bidet will cleanse the outside area, and inserting a soapy finger and rinsing will look after the immediate inner area. Some people use a water enema for additional cleansing, but many do not.

The OP makes a point about STI's and anal sex

Because the anus isn't designed for sex, the risk of damage during anal sex is higher than vaginal sex. That leaves a route for infection direct into the blood. From the other person, or from poo.

so the risk is higher

especially if there are haemorrhoids...

Well, I've read a lot about it, but, you know, theory without practice is nothing, so I decided to try it. And, as I read before, this hole is not for that. You see, the anal hole is very easy to damage, especially when taking the cock out. That's why I won't do that next time. I'm grateful to the girls from findher.ch for letting me try it. It was a great experience. But I think it's scarier than pleasantly. Tbh, I'm more a fan of oral sex. It's way more interesting, and it brings me more pleasure usually.
