OP: Intercourse painful after orgasm

My boyfriend is the only one I've had that can make me orgasm. He's really good at it, but I don't like him doing it anymore because I don't enjoy intercourse afterwards, and I get a burning inside that is similar to the feeling of a bladder infection. It goes away in a few hours, but it's really uncomfortable. I think he gets upset when I tell him I don't want him to make me orgasm...any suggestions or possible diagnosis?

Thank you for the question. Just to clarify for accuracy, we do not give orgasms away to our partner. Each of us is responsible for our own. All anyone can hope for is to help her/him achieve one. I know what you are saying--that his technique is very good and for this he should be praised!

I'm not sure what to make of this. I do have two questions mainly to help others who will chime in, later.

*When you climax from fingering and/or oral stimulation and do not have intercourse, do you experience the same burning?

* When having intercourse and you do not climax as part of the activity, do you still experience the burning?

The reason for asking the second question is to help determine if the burning sensation is in fact because he is rubbing against the urethra as well causing irritation while stroking/thrusting.

The chances are very high that you have a low grade urinary tract infection. The manipulation of your various girl parts causes the urethral opening to become irritated. This will not go away on its own; it may get better and it may get worse as time goes by but it will not be cured without anti-biotics. All women develop UTI from time to time. It is not an admission of sexual activity to have it treated. Sex does not cause the infection, it only makes it more noticeable. You will have to visit a doctor or clinic and get the proper medication.

The alternative is to go the rest of your life without sexual stimulation.

The answers to your questions:

1. I get the burning feeling everytime I climax, whether or not we have intercourse.
2. I do not get the burning feeling just from intercourse. If I don't climax, I do not have that feeling.

p.s. His technique is pretty good...but not good enough to get me to climax using his penis, or through oral. I only climax during fingering....=/

I have had both bladder infections and urinary tract infections before. And I have antibiotics to treat it. The doctor gave me extra pills when I had my last UTI and said if I felt an infection creeping up, to just take one, it would clear it up and not effect my birthcontrol.
I definitely know what both infections feel like, and while this is similar, it's easy for me to feel the difference.

Also, when I climax, whatever it is that comes out of me isn't the same as what usually accumulates during sex. During sex it's thick-ish, and sort of creamy, but when I climax it's clear and more water like with a slight smell.

Vaginal discharge has nothing to do with symptoms of a UTI...taking ONE dose of an antibiotic is not enough to rid yourself of it, many even require a change is the medication. You need to have a urine analysis and urine culture done, begin an antibiotic, take it for the DAYS prescribed, then about one week later have repeat urine specimens done to be certain it is gone.

I know vaginal discharge has nothing to do with UTIs.
And I know when you have an infection you have to take the antibiotics as they are prescribed, but the dr. said if I feel the beginnings of one to take a pill and it will clear it up, and it seems to be work. It may sound like I get these infections a lot, but I actually don't.
I know I don't have a bladder or urinary tract infection, I just used that burning sensation as a comparative to the feeling I get after climaxing.

It sounds as if you have an irritation in the vagina. It can be caused from friction, excessive "use", etc. Clear discharge after an orgasm is normal, it tends to be slightly sticky, water-like, & clear. You may find with in a day or so it returns to the normal consistency of whitish. Try using lube during sex, that should help...wear and tear of the mucous membranes causes irritation and mild inflammation which resolves very quickly (the area much like your mouth) heals up fast...add lots of lube & see if that helps. Any foul smelling or itching discharge needs to be checked by a doc. If you are using condoms switch from latex to poly ones.

Yeah I am not sure since you say the burning only starts after you orgasm... but I have had this happen... I responed in another thread.. that if I start drying up...but we continue w/ whatever... then the entrance of my vagina gets rubbed a little raw.
I also get this feeling if my b/f cums inside me...seems like the semen can be a little irritating.

I don't think there is any link between an orgasm and vaginal burning.
Because say you guys are having sex....and you don't orgasm... then no pain? right?
but if he reaches down to finger you... no pain? if he fingers you to orgasm? then there's pain?
