Ok.....a scab on the end of the penis is SERIOUS! And NO it's not from using a washcloth too hard - unless he's using sand paper!

He needs to see his DR right away. He also needs to be honest with you about his sexual past. Has he had unprotected sex with anyone prior to you...or while u 2 have been togtehr?

This is serious....and you should see your DR too. From genital warts, to herpes to a number of STD's ...it's NOT normal for their to be ANY form of scab on the penis!

It might not be genital warts or something, usually sometimes when a man gets aroused and he doesn't use anything like lotion or anything while he masturbates it begins to make friction with your hand and your penis. And as you continue masturbating its like two things rubbing each other and it begins to heat and make sort of like a rash, I'm serious on this issue cuz I know of people that it has happened to. This is just my two cents, but possibly he masturbated without using any type of lubrication and he just kept doing it even though it started to hurt him. So that could possibly be your best bet of what it is, seeing as he probably dried up down there having no lubrication while he masturbated it possible could have split the skin alittle having no moisture at all down there, and then after air got there it formed a scab where the split used to be. Hope this helps, sorry if this doesn't sound true or anything, but I'm really serious about this.

LuvinVanessa4 (or John i should say!) seems to be on the right track from my experience, also.

My man and I have been together for 2.5 years, and he had only slept with one other girl - with condoms everytime. I on the other hand, was a virgin. The only reason we haven't used condoms for so long is because of the status of our relationship and we've never felt closer to anybody - some of you could relate, some relationships are just more "different", nobody could ever possibly share what the two of you do.

Anyways, to my point, I know that my man also had no time to be sleeping around, he was with me all the time. But then he started getting scabby/dry skin type things on his penis, and the only things we came down to were masterbating with no lotion, having sex using lubricant, not having a shower after sex (esp. after using lube), and too much sex at a time! haha
But yeh, the main cause we found was the flavoured lubricant we were using, the more & more we used it, the worse both our skin got and it got all sensitive, sore and very dry - along with the extremely dry/scabby skin. My boyfriend was much worse than I was however. That was also from not showering 'till the next morning/night. We were also having sex fairly often which didn't help.

If you still feel concerned, make sure you do go to see your GP. In the mean time, a bit of Sorbolene/Moisturizer (unscented) applied a few times a day should aid in the healing process. Also, something like Savlon (not sure if you guys have that - i'm from Australia) or an antiseptic cream for rash/burns/cuts etc. will also help.

Good luck with it all - i really doubt much it's an STI.

Oh, and we're only 'teenagers' - 19, going on 20.

Hmm, from the sumptoms it doesn't sound like Psoriasis. If it's just a scab like that, and the area is red, it's probably not it, however a doctor would be able to tell better. So it's always a good idea to consult with a doctor then something like that pops up.
