Itchy on the Patch
Hi, Im new here and have a question. I started using the patch after being on the pill for a few years, thinking that it would be easier. So far its really great EXCEPT that i have really sensitive skin and after about three days of it being on that area gets itchy. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I know the adheasives used can cause an itching sensation, but I don't know much about the medication which is one the patch...

I have had patients with this problem. You may want to consider the ring. It puts a lower level of hormone in your system and is just as effective.
Do a search on the birth control patch. Wonder why so many law firms show up?

Thanks for the reply , you think that the ring would be better? I have heard of a few bad things about the patch... blood clots etc but I just switched to it and didn't want to switch again so soon but every time I take one off
1 its really itchy
and #2 its all red and swollen
and once when I had it on my hip it actually cut into my skin.
Should I change over now or wait till my prescription is up?

You are clearly reacting unfavorably to the patch - either the adhesive or having one spot covered for a week. Whichever, this will leave splotches wherever you place the patch and is giving you discomfort.
Whether you switch or not, your doctor will need to be involved. Make an appointment.
