OP: Piercings and tattoos?

Male and female responses are welcome.

What do you think of oral or genital piercings and nipple piercings? Also, what about tattoos? Where? On yourself or on your partner...all comments welcome!

As for me, I want to get both of my nipples pierced sometime in the future. I was considering 'down there' but I'm not sure...you know all the 'health' risks and cleaning it and all while being on my period. As for other piercings I have one hole in each earlobe, and I do want more in my ears. I have to wait until I'm 18 to get anything pierced though because my parents won't let me. But they will let me get a tattoo...kind of reversed!

I personally wouldn't get anything pierced myself but I am considering a tattoo. However, I did date a guy once who had 15 piercings. You name it, it was pierced (including 2 scrotal rings and a barbell through his penis). I was kinda creeped out by all the shiny stuff so we didn't last long. The guy I'm with now has 5 tattoos (one of which is a foot-tall anthro-cheetah holding a spear...it's on his back). I love the ones he has but I'm really really hoping that he is satisfied with the number five and that he's not too keen on piercing. My sister got both of her nipples pierced and says the sensations are wonderful even if it did hurt a whole lot to have done. I think anything in moderation is okay but when people are setting off metal detectors or to the point where you can't see any of their natural skin color, it's not good in my book.

I had my tongue pierced at one time. It took forever to heal but I loved it! My ears are pierced as well. Im all for piercings so long as it's done right. I don't have any particular turn-on's about it though.

One thing that made me think about body piercings was when I spoke with my doctor. it's possible to get diseases through piercings such as, hepatitis. (that goes for body piercings, tongue, vagina, penis tattoos as well).

I do have a tattoo on my breast and one thing you want to do before getting a tattoo or piercing is make SURE that they sterilize EVERYTHING right in front of you in an autoclave (sp). If they don't, then refuse to get anything done.

Afterall, you don't know where those needles have been or who they were on etc..

hope it helps.

I'm not sure why but i have a dificulty to accept them..

Ears are fine
bellybutton fine...

Others... haven't tried but it makes me feel bad if my gf has one on her tongue, or others

She did made a piercing on her tongue... but it was too big for her and she had to remove it...
Thank god.....

Hey One of the confusions she had for breaking up was because she was scared of being pregnant...
I told her i was quite sure she wasn't.
and she had her period LATE yesterday. waiting to be on 15 or so.
now i need to see her and hope we can get back together

I am a big fan of piercings, but I am also a walking argument against them. I have gotten four piercings: both my nipples, my navel, and one of my inner labia. All but the labium piercing rejected.

The nipple piercings were great. They looked sexy and made my nipples wonderfully sensitive. Until they rejected .

It's funny, everyone worries the most about infection with genital piercings, but my labium piercing is the only one that has had no problems at all. Of course genital piercings are more likely to get infected than an earlobe, but that area is cleaner than the nose or the tongue.

BTW, you don't have to do very extensive cleaning after the piercing is healed. Most genital piercings take less than a month to heal, so if you time it right you don't have to worry about keeping it clean during your period.

ok, I can't really justify WHY, but I have very mixed feelings about piercings. just personal preferences. anyway, here goes:

I don't think they look good on most guys, anywhere.

On women:
I think ears is fine, (one or two in each) - no more.
The rest of the face - a definite NO! Not in the least bit sexy to me.
Nipples is great - VERY erotic! (but then I AM a breast-man, big but not saggy)
Bellybutton - cannot for the life of me see the attraction!
Genital - hmmm, not sure - ok if its a "restrained" presentation, I'm NOT into seeing a jewellery store there.

I must admit I find it amazing that anyone would willing offer up their private parts for inspection and "stabbing" by a complete stranger ... but then, that's just me!

I think once you turn 18 your body belongs to you (prior to that your parents/gardien own it) and you should do what works for you.

Personally I only have my ears pierced. I've though about getting the nipples pierced but probably never will.

I have my clit pierced.... have had for almost 8 or so years now.

Love it! Even when it is not in. You have to keep in mind when getting your genitals pierced, the whole is permanent. It will not close up like a tongue will.

As I said, I used to have my nipples pierced. There are a lot of risks and disadvantages. For one thing, this is a very sensitive area, so it is a very very painful piercing. Some people even say it is more painful than a genital piercing. I wouldn't go that far, but it comes close. It also takes several months to heal. During this time, your piercings require lots of cleaning and care, your nipples can't be touched by anyone but you, the holes will ooze this gross white discharge, the slightest touch or jostle will cause you a great deal of pain, and, as my own experience demonstrates, all sorts of things can go wrong with the piercings, including infection and rejection to name a few.

But there are also advantages. Obviously, the piercings look very sexy (at least to some people). The rings are fun to play with (once they are healed, of course). In most cases, including my own experience, they make the nipples deliciously sensitive. However, be forewarned: occasionally piercings can make them lose sensitivity instead. The Victorians believed that piercing nipples made the breasts get bigger (believe it or not, they had a brief nipple-piercing fad), but I have my doubts about that.

Please consider the pros and cons carefully before you make your decision. Look for a good piercer with lots of experience and an autoclave. Whatever you do don't try to pierce them yourself.
