> My gf and I have been having sex and we have been using a condom. We both wanted to have sex without it, but still be as safe.
If you are teens or in your twenties, do not have a way to support a new person to the world, and do not want the plans for your respective futures forever changed, then both of you need to look out for #1. She needs to be using a contraceptive and you need to be wearing a condom. People in your age range are more apt to become pregnant than at any other age for a variety of reasons. It is irresponsible for just one of you to use protection.
At the very least she should use a spermacide gel and better if she would double up with a diaphragm or other barrier device in addition. Better yet, she should be on the pill if at all possible.
I'll let someone else address possible side effects.
> The main reason i want to use it is just for "pre cum". Im not going to cum inside of her at all, i would pull out.
This is not enough reason. She needs to protect herself fully all the time and not just for precum. Pulling out is OK, yet is very far from anything reliable. More than one well intentioned guy has said what you have said and when the arousal is high and the orgasm is just past the next stroke or two, his alter ego takes over and says, ah shucks, and why not, and, the climax follows. It isn't until basking in the after glow that he come to his senses.
> Ive heard that you can get pregnant from "pre cum" but it is rare.
"Rare" is far from being impossible. Who are you trying to convince?
> And im just way to scared to actually cum inside of her for risk of pregnancy.
Consider that you are playing Russian Roulette, only instead of a single bullet in the chamber of a six-shooter, you have a fully loaded cannon. Never get it within firing range or dribbling distance of your partner's vulva unless the barrel of your cannon has a condom on it. She needs back up protection as described, above. One is just not sufficient protection.

If you are going to be involved in adult activities, you must act as responsible adults. There are plenty of threads on this site in which many people advise: "no condom", no sex, to others in your situation. You can experiment with other types of condoms like plastic and natural for more feeling; however, before you do, research and learn the pros and cons of each type before switching.
