Position Variations

Amazon

At the head of the Amazon family, the standard variation has the man lying on his back with legs raised, and the woman mounting from above in a kneeling position. Offering women great leverage and support, the only downside from her perspective is that it can be a little awkward to kneel over a partner that is significantly larger. If you're finding this to be the case, the 180 and Twist variations should take care of the problem. A 180 twist on the standard variation, the Amazon 180 has the woman facing away from her man. Taking the Amazon position to new heights, the Standing variation get's the woman into - you guessed it - a standing position. Requiring the woman to be able to straddle her partner while standing, some couple's may find this to be a little tough, if not outright impossible. If you don't have a work out bench available, you may be able to accomplish it by having the man position himself on the corner of a bed, or by overhanging the edge of a couch or recliner, though the latter two may not have enough leg room to provide full mobility. In this variation, the woman mounts from the side in a half-kneeling, half-squatting position, the combination of which may be more comfortable for some couples. With the woman being positioned mostly on one side of the man's body, the man has a lot more freedom to move his back leg outward, allowing for some of the deepest penetration in the Amazon family.
