Worst sex ed you received as a teenager?

Mine was a gym teacher in grade 9 who put a condom on a banana, said "don't get anyone pregnant," and then we watched a video about puberty from 1987.

That was it. That was the whole program.

Catholic school in Miami. They separated the boys and girls. The girls got a talk about "respecting their bodies." The boys got told that if you have sex before marriage you'll get an STD and die. That was literally the lesson.

Then they gave us a purity pledge card. I lost mine on the bus ride home.

We didn't even get the banana. My parents never mentioned it once and school pretended sex didn't exist. Everything I learned came from the internet, which is a really fun game of figuring out what's real and what's completely made up.

Honestly that's why sites like this matter.
