nose bleeding from BC pill?
today when i woke up i had a really heavy nosebleed to the point where i felt like i would either faint or vomit and i couldn't stand. i am 19 and i have NEVER had a nosebleed in my life. my mom said it could be because i just started taking the pill (i'm on my 3rd week of taking the pill). has this ever happened to anyone or has anyone heard of this happening or know if the pill effects this kind of thing? thanks

In fact, a side-effect of the pill, especially in smokers over thirty-five, is exactly the OPPOSITE. I am not aware of nosebleeds being connected with birth control pills. Estrogen cream, in fact, is sometimes used to treat chronic nosebleeds. If it continues, get it checked.
Pregnant women do experience nosebleeds probably as a result of the additional blood circulating in their systems. That is what gives pregnant women their "glow."
