My wife and I have been really trying to help each other with fantasies and fetishes we both have. She recently revealed that she would like me to be dominant with her (as in master and sub type role play). This is something outside my comfort zone (not to the point I do not want to try it). Just not 100% comfortable with commanding her to do something and also worried about being too rough and hurting her.

Hello Billy0124, I can understand your problem, you are worried about hurting your wife. If you talk about that issue you can come up with a list of a sort, stuff that are out of the question and stuff she would like. Safe word is a another solution. If she wants you to stop or she doesnt want to do that , just say the word and its over.
