Can a Ring cause dryness?

Ok... So I actually have a couple of Questions that I hope ya'll can help me with. I recently started the Nuva Ring... and before I took it... lets just say I never had a problem with the juices flowing. Now the it seems like the 'lake' has just dried up :). Well, I guess I'm first just wondering if the reason my vagina is now dry is because of the Nuva Ring.

Next... Before I got on birth control... I was a nympho (to say the least) and recently I have had a really hard time enjoying, or wanting to have sex... Porn no longer turns me on and I'm really kind of worried.. Could this be another horrible side affect to the Nuva Ring?

The ring has less side-effects than other forms of hormonal birth control. The first (dryness), could be short term and can be addressed by using some lubrication. The second (loss of libido), is sometimes a short term effect of introducing hormone, at any level, into the system. Talk to your prescriber but do not give up; these issues often go away in a month or so as the body adjusts.
