is the Yaz pill good?

i'm going to get the pill in the next week : ) and i'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with YAZ?
my mom thinks it would be best and i've done a little research and it seems about right but i'd like to know what you ladies think of it if you or anyone you know has been on it.

oh, and i also have mittelschmerz and i'm really really hoping this will eliminate this pain. is that a possibility?
