Gyn Appointment question review
A friend recently went to the gyn for a couple of issues and I was wondering if the suggestions were appropriate.
She's getting back on the pill, and has had trouble in the past with Yaz. The doctor said that she should try different ones every couple months to find one that works. Is that enough time for the body to adjust and adapt? I think I remember reading posts here mentioning a longer time frame to really know how one's body is affected.
She never had issues with fingers or condoms until a yeast infection about 9 months ago, and since then anything other than glass or polyisoprene(and even polyiso causes problems after 5-10min) condoms inserted will make her very raw. Latex is out of the question. Any type of fingernail touch at all is too pointed, even when trimmed and well rounded and sanded smooth with care taken to not scrape. The very bottom of her vaginal opening will often tear with intercourse regardless of lubrication. She is on immunosupressants - and the doctor mentioned that it is possible that there is a chance that due to those drugs, there is still a mild infection presence causing the irritability but offered no tests or a solution. Is there something that would normally be suggested to help this? The quality of the medical institutions in her area aren't very good.
