In the Closed variation of the Sinner, the woman's legs are positioned on the inside of the man's, which you may find more or less comfortable depending on your widths. Most notably, the closed legs can help increase clitoral stimulation from penetration alone, though this comes at more difficult access for hand stimulation. You may also find the closed variation to be more comfortable to transition to the planted variation where she can assist more easily towards the penetration motion.
